~Hey all…I hope you had a fabulous Christmas making memories with friends and family. I have vowed to never eat another sugar cookie in this lifetime. I don’t want to talk about it, but the number consumed is staggering.
These are just some pics I had in my camera roll. Our Christmas Eve tradition is to go to Christmas Eve church service, eat (always eat…this year was tamales), watch Christmas Vacation, and decorate cookies for Santa. We laugh at Christmas Vacation EVERY year like it’s the first time we’ve seen it. So many good lines…”Eddie I wouldn’t be more surprised if I woke up with my head sewn to the carpet!” Classic!!
We don’t mess around with our cookies…full on make the dough, roll it out, flour everywhere, cookie cutters…the whole nine. Holt was trying to put Santa in a diabetic coma with his cookie…we had to shake that off a bit. And in case you are wondering, Ella now knows that Santa very closely resembles her father. The jury is still out on Holt. He looks very skeptical at times, but he’s staying the course so as not to break his mama’s heart I presume.
Believers or not, the kids came in our room at 6:30am Christmas morning. Like any good parents with Christmas cheer…we told them to come back in an hour. Bah Humbug…and seriously. So, after 15 minutes, we felt really bad and went and got them up. Watching kids open their Christmas gifts is truly one of life’s greatest joys!!! They are so excited, and you are so happy to watch it all. How else will we raise another generation of millennials if we don’t give them everything their hearts desire???
This post would not be complete without mentioning that AH-MAZING t-shirt that was in my stocking…please forgive what I look like. I literally JUST woke up. My husband is a romantic, what can I say?? He’s mine, you can’t have him!!! Did you read it?? If not, go back for today’s laugh.
I am just randomly posting THESE earrings because they look exactly like the Oscar de la Renta ones…and the color is of the moment. The price is fantastic!!! I have also included the kid’s Santa hats which were a gift from Aunt Amy…I LOVED them…and now we will have them every year. She got them at Hanna Andersson, and these aren’t exact…but they are on sale and sweaterknit yarn hats. They don’t look like it at first glance, but they are. Buy HERE
